BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has a long history with the Boy Scouts of America. Lodges across the nation have connected with local troops.

Here at our lodge, we have been affiliated with Arlington Troop 396 since 1960. This troop has awarded the "Eagle Scout Rank" to over 100 scouts. They have been to summer camps in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Tennessee. Has sent contingents to Philmont Scout Ranch, Sea Base in Florida, sailed the Pacific on the, Argus, a 60' ketch, and canoed in Canada. They have earned merit badges in swimming and life saving at our pool.

Troop 396 consists of boys between the ages of 11-18. They meet every Monday night at 7:30-9:00pm and have a campout once a month. If you would like more information you can click the link to the left or use the contact info below.

We are also forming a new Venture Crew. Venturing is part of the program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women ages 14-21. The purpose of Venturing is to provide positive experiences to help youth mature and to prepare them to become responsible adults
