Thinking of joining the Elks?
To be eligible for membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, you must be a citizen of the United States over the age of 21 who believes in God.
You must be sponsored by a member in good standing, who can be from any Elks Lodge in the country. You'll also need two other Elks who will be your references. The Elk who proposes you for membership will provide you with a copy of the Membership Application, or can email you a link to the online version of the form.
Shortly after your application is received, you’ll be contacted by the Membership Committee for a brief interview and recommendation to the Lodge members. If your application is approved by the Lodge, you (and your spouse) will be invited to the Lodge for an Orientation meeting, followed by your Initiation into the Order.
There is a one-time application fee of $100.00, of which $50.00 must accompany the application or be brought to the interview. The year’s dues must also be paid prior to your Initiation.
After initiation as an Elk, you can take part in all meetings and social functions of the Lodge, and can visit any Elks Lodge in the country!
If for any reason your application is rejected, you can submit a new application for membership after six months.
